Tara Farm takes in and provides rehabilitation when necessary to farm animals (and sometimes cat and dogs). Often owner surrenders because their owner can no longer care for them or animals that need to be rescued from dire situations, these animals are taken in and given the best possible care by Tara Farm. This includes, where applicable: veterinary care & vaccinations, grooming, hoof trimming/shoeing, body work & chiropractic, training (horses) and specialized feeding plans and supplements.
Animals that are healthy and ready for new homes are offered for adoption to the best potential adopters. Adopters are carefully screened and must fill out an adoption application and provide references. If the application is accepted and the adopter wants to move forward, an adoption application and adoption fee are required. *See our adoption forms at the bottom of this page*
Tara Farm Rescue offers boarding. The monthly rate is $425; we provide stall, paddock, food & water. You must muck your own stalls and provide your own shavings. Our policy is you must come visit and spend time with your horse at least 3/4 times a week. We care tremendously about all the animals here and we expect that you will give your horse what they truly need. Love-Comfort-Security-Play. *Mental health for horses is just as important as physical health!
